Tips for making these poses perfect. Make it natural, picture the pose in your head and go for it. Fake laugh if you need to and just have fun!
When you visit the Valley of Fire and take in the beauty of these 40,000 acres of hiking trails, picnic areas, and scenic drive, you also want to capture some epic shots to remember such an epic trip. I know there are many other poses you can do, but here are a few you might enjoy.
1. Arms Out
The first pose was one of my favorites. I got the idea from the movie Titanic, ironically. Do you remember the scene where Jack and Rose were at the back of the ship with their arms outstretched, locked in love? Yeah, that scene was the inspiration behind this pose. Now whether you want to try it sitting down or standing up, the choice is yours; either way, both are epic shots you can try. I also wanted to ensure the Valley of Fire magical views were perfectly captured in the background making this straight on photo thee perfect Instagram pose.
2. The Walk Away
The walk away is just that simple, stop at a cool spot with a beautiful backdrop and snap a picture while walking away. This is a shot that can be done with you either walking away or walking towards the camera, either will give you a beautiful image.
3. The Look Away
This look-away pose, you know the one where you are looking away from the camera or person taking the picture, and pretend that you don’t know they are taking a picture of you. If you are up for a climb, find any cool spot along the scenic drive at the Valley of Fire and pose away!
4. The Road Side
This one is a little less risky, unlike my sit in the road pose. You can find a perfect spot along the scenic route, park on the roadside, be sure you have an epic view in the back, and snap away.
5. On The Rock
These poeses will require some climbing as you can see. While on the scenic route you can find a trail that you are willing to hike, and be sure to have an epic view of the mountains in the back and snap away. The second pose was just before the rainbow valley. It’s the basic sit on a rock and capture the beautiful scenery while ensuring I was still in the shot of course. Lol
6. Middle of the Road
Now, these have a funny story, especially the first one. So as you can clearly see, we were trying to take a picture in the middle of the road. So to ensure safety, I was looking for oncoming traffic for my husband and he was doing the same for me. So this shot was basically an accident that actually came out great.
7. Laying in the Road
Now this one, I really had to think twice about doing this, you see, I’m a slight bit of germaphobe and when I told my husband about this shot, he most definitely laughed at me and doubted I would do it. Well, I proved him wrong. 🙂 It’s the classic lay in the middle of the road while baking in the desert heat. No really, it was hella hot that day, but this picture is super dope. It captures the essence of the location.
I must give credit to my awesome hubby for capturing these amazing images. He has a magnificent way of listening to my visions and helping me bring them to life! I hope you were inspired to visit the Valley of Fire and capture some amazing shots.
